The Amazing Race – February 2013
The Island of Bora Bora hosts CBS’ The Amazing Race!

The dream destination of Bora Bora played host to the first two episodes of the 22nd season of CBS’ The Amazing Race.  The first episode aired on February 17, 2013, and both episodes were filmed on the island of Bora Bora. Air Tahiti Nui, Tahiti Tourisme North America, Air Tahiti and Hilton French Polynesia were eager to participate in the project since this multi-Emmy award winning show is known for creating contestant challenges that celebrate the culture and unique features of each country they visit.

The Amazing Race challenged the contestants to experience some of Tahiti’s top adventures including skydiving from above Bora Bora’s signature blue lagoon and its majestic Mt. Otemanu, sand castle building on a powdery white sand beach and assembling an outrigger canoe to race across the lagoon.

Viewership: 12 million per episode in North America/80 million in over 200 countries


House Hunters International – February 2013
Moorea Featured on House Hunters International!

House Hunters International is a property and travel documentary that follows people’s property search as they relocate to new parts of the world.

The beauty and culture of Moorea were featured in this episode.

The show is broadcast in the USA, Canada and South America and each episode has an average viewership of 1.7 million in North America.


Evening Magazine/KING 5 TV (NBC)
French Polynesia

In February 2013, KING 5′s Evening Magazine visited the Islands of Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora to produce five exclusive shows that aired Monday through Thursday, and a complete half hour show closed the week on Friday. The shows were supported with weeklong teasers and promotions.

Hosts Meeghan Black and Saint Bryan took viewers through the Islands of Tahiti and shared some of the most exciting activities and sites – everything from swimming with sharks and stingrays in Bora Bora to discovering the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora’s beautiful grounds.

Evening Magazine/KING 5’s TV (NBC affiliate) has been on the air for more than 25 years, and has hundreds of Emmys and other awards for being one of the highest rated local television shows in the country.

Viewership: 302,000 per episode
