July 2013 Visitor Arrivals

North Americans accounted for 29.7% of all Tahiti visitors for July 2013. Year to date, North America is up 3.4 %.

Total North American arrivals for the month of July 2013 alone were 5,132, a + 7 % increase or + 334 visitors more than July 2012.

Land arrivals excluding VFR (visiting friends and relatives) for the same month were 3,909 passengers total, a + 3.9 % increase or + 145 passengers over July 2012.

The cruise passenger arrivals were 995, a + 40.3 % increase or + 286 visitors more than July 2012.

Total North American “paid room nights” for July 2013 increased to 39,251, a + 5.6% increase or + 2,096 “paid room nights” over July 2012.

Below is a chart highlighting the increase in number of “paid room nights” from January through July since 2007!

For the first seven months of the year, the United States delivered 31,835 visitors, while Canada delivered 4,482 visitors, and Mexico delivered 543 visitors, for a total of 36,860 visitors and accounted for 38.6 % of the tourist arrivals in French Polynesia.

2013 Tahiti Workshops in Mexico

Tahiti Tourisme North America (TTNA) is pleased to announce that we are conducting 2013 Tahiti Workshops for Travel Agents in Mexico!

Tuesday, November 5, 2013 – Mexico City               Expected Attendance: 60
Wednesday, November 6, 2013 – Guadalajara         Expected Attendance: 40
Thursday, November 7, 2013 – Monterrey                Expected Attendance: 40

Workshop Agenda
All workshops will be held from 7:30 am – 11:00 am
Participating Partner Representatives are expected to be present from 7:00 am – 11:30 am

7:30 am           Doors Open / Tradeshow
8:30 am           Breakfast
9:00 am           Destination Presentation in Spanish
10:00 am         Q&A followed by Prize Drawing and Tradeshow
11:00 am         End

Participation Cost & Benefits
$650.00 per Partner for participation at all three Workshops. No individual city participation.

Participation includes:
·       Tabletop and signage at each of the Workshops
·       Two-page company profile in the Workshop manual
·       A complete database of Travel Agents for all three Workshops
·       Participation for a second attending representative will cost $100 USD. A maximum of two representatives per company, per city.
