Travel Weekly is recognized as an influential source of news, data, and commentary for the travel industry. The publication’s Magellan Awards are its premier awards program honoring the best in travel in a broad range of industry segments including hospitality, travel destinations, cruise lines, online travel services, airlines and airports, travel agents and agencies, tour operators, and ground transportation.

The Magellan Awards are judged and overseen by a one-of-a-kind panel of top travel professionals representing the best names and most accomplished leaders from the industry. In determining winners, entries do not compete with one another; instead they are judged against a standard of excellence based on the long experience of Travel Weekly. The full list of winners is available at and will be featured in the October 19, 2015, issue of Travel Weekly magazine.

The Brando has been honored with multiple awards in 2015 including the 2015 Virtuoso Sustainable Tourism Leadership Award – Hotel. The resort was also recognized on Robb Report’s 2015 Best of the Best guide in the hotels & resorts category; Travel + Leisure’s It List 2015, the publication’s 10th annual editors’ choice awards for the best new hotels around the globe; and was among 60 properties recognized on Condé Nast Traveler’s 2015 Hot List, the definitive guide to the best new hotels and resorts in the world.
